Meg has been engaged in Northwest Georgia throughout her life from attending church in Chattooga County where her father pastored a small church to attending college at Covenant College in Dade County to living and working in Catoosa and Whitfield Counties.

 

Meg graduated summa cum laude from Covenant College in Lookout Mountain, Georgia with a degree in Sociology. Meg went on to attend the University of Alabama School of Law where she graduated in 2018. During law school, Meg worked as a summer law clerk for a United States Attorney’s Office followed by a summer clerkship with a federal magistrate judge. Meg was also selected as an Honors Intern for the Federal Bureau of Investigation and completed a six month internship. Throughout law school, Meg served as the President of the Public Interest Board, an Articles Editor for the Alabama Civil Rights and Civil Liberties Law Review, and competed on the University of Alabama’s mock trial teams.

 

For the first five years of her legal career, Meg served as an Assistant District Attorney in both the Lookout Mountain and Conasauga District Attorney’s Office successfully handling numerous jury trials to verdict, including cases for kidnapping, rape, aggravated assault, drug distribution, aggravated battery, aggravated assault, aggravated stalking, burglary, and DUIs. As an Assistant District Attorney, Meg appeared before the Georgia Supreme Court in 2020 for oral argument earning a favorable outcome for her office and clarifying several state statutes. During her time as an Assistant District Attorney in the Conasauga District Attorney’s Office, Meg served as the primary domestic violence prosecutor in Whitfield County handling the prosecution of all offenses of intimate partner violence in Whitfield County.

 

In 2023, Meg joined the law firm of McCamy, Phillips, Tuggle & Fordham, LLP expanding her skills to general civil litigation where she handled a variety of cases involving negligent construction, employment discrimination, sexual harassment, business litigation, and contract disputes. Meg also served as an Assistant Solicitor prosecuting traffic offenses including speeding, reckless driving, and DUIs in Whitfield County Probate Court from 2023 to 2026.

 

In 2026, Meg joined the Law Offices of Ian Whittle as a trial attorney to return to her passion for criminal law. Meg provides her clients a wealth of skills and balanced guidance based on her diverse civil and criminal litigation background.
